Welcome everyone to the 2014 Mission Slimpossible Challenge!!! Everyone get ready to burn all your fat off! You will feel much lighter and have a bit more bounce in your step! You can individually decide on what you choose to do as far as diet & exercise & your goal weight(lets aim a little higher than 1 lbs please :) hehe) I highly recommend Weight Watchers online. MY PERSONAL MISSION: to steer clear of most animal fats(meat & cheese) and byproducts and most gluten(I'm hoping this will increase my energy). I just went to Trader Joes and stocked up on tons of fruits, vegetables & nuts. I plan on making things like spicy thai curry over jasmine rice, black bean & sweet potato burgers,& mushroom ragu over polenta -just to name a few. I will also be enjoying a large glass of freshly blended fruits & veggies in the morning. I hope you all will join me in sharing your healthy recipes! Just remember eating is 80% of the way you look & feel! :) You can do it! I am starting out today at 137 lbs. My goal is to be fit and toned and weigh in at 124 lbs. I weighed in at 132 this morning- although I feel very dehydrated so I think I should add a pound or 2.

what are yall going to do today to get fit?! I am about to go for a walk out in the cold to burn extra calories, jump rope for 5 minutes and then do 100 squats. boo ya

The Competiton


I haven't done the Gilad workout at all in about 10 days. But, I have painted 2 bathrooms and painting and going up and down the ladder was somewhat of a workout. Tomorrow I will be back to doing Gilad once a day! I have been walking my 3 miles a day - 2 miles in the morning and at least 1 mile in the afternoon. I have not lost a single pound, and in fact at times I have gained weight, then lost then it's back. I hate that!


The best news is Candra has started walking with a buddy that walks 8 miles a day! Way to go Candra. Those sacks of oats are going to be getting smaller and smaller until all you're hauling around is a couple of coconuts!


Meredith - Steve says running in the cold without a lot of bundling up burns a lot of calories as your body burns them to stay warm.


I am going to go absolutely wild these last two weeks of the competition, because I have turned into one big sack of oats!

Gravy bowl stomach

Wobble Wobble, Gobble Gobble, I have a gravy bowl stomach now! I have gained 2 of the 4 pounds that I had lost :( because I didnt do any exercises during Thanksgiving week(it's sacreligious). I did do 2 exercises the week before Thanksgiving and this week I have done 2 miles of walking on Monday and 30 min of running in the 30 degree weather(I think that constitutes a winner right there) last night. Tonight I am going to see the Rockefeller tree be lit so I'm afraid I will have no time for workouts :( Anyway, if anyone wants to get a last minute flight up to NYC we are having the sample sale this coming Monday-Thurs.

Wobbling

Well, I have gobbled down food until I'm wobbling. I didn't do much in the last week - walked a few times, did the rock wall climbing which made me sore for two days. Now I'm planning on getting back on track! Here's to the last 4...or is it 3? 3-1/2? weeks of competition. Let's see who will win!

I'm changing my plan to:
Run 4x at 30 mins each
2x lunges at 50 per leg.

This is weird but my neck is so sore from running the other day that I can't even put my chin down? I've never had that happen..but it is SORE!

Last week I did the Gilad workout 6 times and walked 4 miles one day, rather than 3. I'm keeping the same work out schedule. I wish I'd lose some weight, but oh well!! We still have 5 weeks!
